Self Compassion Classes

Pam is certified in Mindful Self-Compassion and has received specialized training in a program designed for caregivers and children by Jamie Lynn Tatera. She is excited to offer a 6-week class called Mindful Self-Compassion for Caregivers and Children (MSCCC).

Self-compassion can bring about greater happiness, optimism, curiosity, and connection. It serves as a powerful tool to counteract mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, rumination, and anger.

Horticultural Therapy Program

AlmaPura Wellness offers two options for horticultural therapy experiences. First, there's a weekly program running from May to October at Belmae Farm in the West Bend area, along with three open farm days during summer.

Horticultural therapy involves various gardening and nature-based activities to boost overall well-being. Our horticultural therapist, Pam, tailors activities to meet individual or group needs, integrating gardening with mindfulness, movement, and creativity. This therapy enhances physical, emotional, and cognitive wellness, fostering improved self-esteem, reduced isolation, and increased confidence. Interacting with plants promotes mental, emotional, and physical health, leading to greater happiness, stress reduction, and mindfulness.

Compassionate Circle Sharing

Pam is trained in Restorative Practices and specializes in creating compassionate circles where people can openly share. At Carmen High School, students found solace in these circles, sharing stories and even leading discussions themselves. Pam also facilitated a circle for new empty nesters, providing a space to express feelings about their children leaving home. She plans to introduce Intergenerational Compassionate Sharing Circles, bridging generations to share wisdom and knowledge.

These circles offer a safe, non-judgmental environment where participants can feel heard and connected, fostering trust and understanding among all involved.
